The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran

Gibrans style of writing is my favorite :) Heres an excerpt:

"When you love you should not say, 'God is in my heart,' but rather, 'I am in the heart of God.' & think not you can direct the course of love, for love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course.

Love has no other desire but to fufill itself. But if you love and must needs have desires, let these be your desires:

To melt & be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night.
To know the pain of too much tenderness.
To be wounded by your own understanding of love;
& to bleed willingly and joyfully.
To wake at dawn with a winged heart & give thanks for another day of loving;
To rest at the noon hour and meditate love's ecstasy;
To return home at eventide with gratitude;

& then sleep with a prayer for the beloved in your heart & a song of praise within your lips."

Colossians 2:6-7

6 So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, 7 rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

peach iced tea and a little thought.

Funny how we pray, seek, and hope with all our hearts for something and as we wait for it, it never comes and then when we least expect it...

Surprise surprise that something finds us! He knows the perfect timing to give us our blessings. I love God and how he works ♥ :)

Crazy Love

read this book as soon as possible (after your Bible of course)!

I read this book in less than 2 days.. it inspired and challenged me and made me really take a deep look into my walk with God. Here is a few lines from the book:

"Worry implies that we don't trust that God is big enough, powerful enough, or loving enough to take of what is happening in our lives.

Stress says the things that we are involved in are important enough to merit our impatience, our lack of grace toward others, or our tight grip of control.

Basically, these 2 behaviors communicate that its okay to sin and not trust God because the stuff in my life is somehow exceptional.

Both worry and stress reek of arrogance. They declare our tendency to forget that we have been forgiven, that our lives are brief, that we are headed to a place where we won't be lonely, afraid, or hurt ever again, and in the context of God's strength, our problems are small indeed."
